Description

Our 2024 Twin Valleys Pinot Grigio is a light-bodied and refreshing white wine that perfectly captures the essence of the region’s temperate climate. On the nose, it exudes inviting aromas of wild lime, lemon, pear, and white nectarine, setting the stage for a delightful tasting experience. The palate is crisp and vibrant, offering a symphony of green apple, lemon zest, and a hint of ripe melon flavors. This bright and zesty acidity provides a long, refreshing finish that lingers pleasantly.

When allowed more time to develop in the glass, the wine reveals even greater depth. Ripe red apple, nashi pear, and subtle sherbet notes emerge on the nose, while the mid-palate introduces a light tobacco-earthiness that adds complexity. The wine boasts a remarkable width on the palate, yet it remains lean and crisp, embodying the quintessential characteristics of an Australian Pinot Grigio. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired with light dishes, this Pinot Grigio stands as a testament to the quality and finesse of Twin Valleys' winemaking.

Beautifully fruited and inviting with green rockmelon, Nashi pear, lime zest and floral aromas onthe nose, leading to a splendidly weighted palate that's juicy and persistent. Harmonious and well-structured with saline mouthfeel, making it fabulously appealing. At its best: now to 2030. 93pts Sam Kim

An alluring and pretty wine with a surprising amount of heft, it opens with lovely aromas of peach, white flowers and fresh honeysuckle, as well as some ripe pear and rose; as it breathes, a striking note of melon develops, giving it some more depth. The palate is zippy and minerally, with a touch of oiliness, again making it not your average Pinot Grigio. It pairs really well with gooey cheese but is also a nice weekend sipper.
    93pts Brendan Black

Defined and inviting aromas of melon, kiwi fruit, lemon juice, lemongrass, riverstone minerals, subtle white peach. A lovely aromatic profile of freshness and lift. The palate is vibrantly fruited with sweet pops of notes akin to the nose with white peach at the fore, followed by the lemon and melon notes. Nice length here thanks to a persistent citrus-laced acidity pulling it through. A lovely thirst-slaking style with pure, bright and defined fruit. Value for money. Delicious.

Comes from Victoria’s King Valley, a region which has proved to be ideal for this crisp early drinking variety. Apple and pear with a splash of citrus to add some tang. The richer pastry biscuity characters adds a little texture. Ready to drink now.

A perfect wine to enjoy on a warm summer day. Pairing well with light seafood dishes, salads and creamy goat cheese. Another great pairing would be with some freshly shucked oysters – the wines zesty acidity, is the perfect citrus hit!
