A powerful expression, the instantly appealing bouquet shows Granny Smith apple, kiwifruit, kaffir lime and jasmine aromas, followed by a concentrated palate offering excellent fruit purity combined with zesty acidity, making it exuberant and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2030. 94pts Sam Kim

This is the kind of Sauvignon Blanc for people who may have been turned off by some pretty insipid examples from around the traps. There’s a lot of freshness on display in the mix of fruity and savoury characters: lemon, grass, fresh peas, asparagus, herbaceousness and green apple. Like the other two table whites tasted, there’s some oiliness on the palate, some saltiness, and great minerality, with a pretty full body and loads of acid. Very tasty.

Restrained aromatics, and positively so. Red apple, lemon, bosco pear, lychee, and passionfruit peel sit in a poised profile. There’s nice control of the pyrazine notes here, with nothing too herbaceous nor overt; a feat sometimes not achieved in this price point. The palate holds a similar feel, with notes akin to the nose in a very restrained and poised aesthetic. Some nice bitterness through the finish adding edge to an otherwise fruit-led profile. Nicely done, with restraint and control.
    91pts Tom Kline

A vibrant and flavoursome savvy from the King Valley. Lots of stone fruit and passionfruit working with edgier citrus and pink grapefruit. The palate is textured and flavoursome with a lick of acid to finish.

    Pairing

Due to the wine’s crisp acidity, it would complement light and fresh cuisine exceptionally well. Some great pairings would include grilled vegetables, fresh seafood (like grilled prawns or ceviche), salads with zesty vinaigrettes, and spicy Asian cuisine. The wines citrus notes and hints of tropical fruit harmonise with the flavours in these dishes, perfectly coating the mouth, and enhancing the overall dining experience.
